WAS-PRAXISFORUM - MANAGING AND SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENTING INNOVATIONS

04.07.2023: For our 3rd practical forum, we were guests at Timm Technology GmbH in Senefelder Ring, Reinbek.

After a welcome from our Managing Director Ulf Hahn and Project Manager Stephan Zechner, Dr Thomas Overbeck, Managing Director of Timm Technology GmbH, introduced the company. The specialist for safety technology develops monitored earthing solutions in hazardous areas as well as intelligent safety technology and access control systems. Dr Overbeck used a prototype for monitored earthing in filling processes to present the innovation surrounding a new product and had a tip for the entrepreneurs present: keeping creativity and costs in balance is the be-all and end-all!

"Innovation always works with funding," Andreas Fischer from the WTSH is certain. Because thanks to the current excellent funding opportunities for business innovations and ecological sustainability as a focus, not only product development but also human resources are eligible for funding.

Last but not least, the Managing Director of Permalux, Lars Diestel, reports on his experiences with funding applications. Permalux offers products and services for the safety equipment of buildings, ships and aeroplanes. With around 70 employees, the Ahrensburg-based company is a true specialist in its field. The company's own production facility for noctilucent products and signs equips almost every third aircraft with Permalux light strips. The WTSH provided funding for the "Digitalisation of service and maintenance" project. Mr Diestel spoke about the issues before, during and after the project phase and encouraged people to find out about funding programmes.

Conclusion: The time for funding applications is good and should be utilised!

After the exciting presentations, we ended the evening together with delicious food and great conversations and set the course for further events.
