WAS as a guest at the summer party of the Schleswig-Holstein State Representation in Berlin
03.05.2023: In typical northern German weather, with a cool breeze and the odd shower, Schleswig-Holstein's political and business leaders met at their state representation in Berlin for a summer party. On 23 May, the annual event took place in the Berlin Ministerial Gardens, to which Daniel Günther, Minister President of Schleswig-Holstein, and Sandra Gerken, Schleswig-Holstein's plenipotentiary to the federal government, had invited guests to a reception. In addition to entertaining presentations and the opening of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein state government's summer party focussed primarily on informal discussions.
Wirtschafts- und Aufbaugesellschaft Stormarn mbH (WAS), together with colleagues from Wirtschaftsförderung Herzogtum Lauenburg and HLMS (Tourismus Herzogtum Lauenburg und Stormarn) and numerous representatives from politics and business from the Stormarn district, were on hand to promote culture and tourism in Stormarn. They included District Administrator Dr Görtz, District President Harmuth and several mayors and other representatives from various towns and municipalities.
Even before the official start of the summer festival, Daniel Günther took a tour of the market stalls and indulged in culinary delights. These offered all kinds of delicacies from the various districts throughout Schleswig-Holstein. As a special highlight of the Stormarn district, the WAS had brought along the Schatoh Feldmark: special wines that originate directly in beautiful Schleswig-Holstein could be savoured by all participants. As did the Minister President of Schleswig-Holstein, who chatted extensively with the guests who had travelled to the event.
After an official welcome from Daniel Günther and Dr Christian Kuhnt, Director of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, a wonderful concert with Daniel Hope (violin) and Aydar Gaynullin (accordion) was on the agenda, followed by another culinary highlight with the subsequent asparagus party. A special focus of the event was also on networking. Interesting discussions and informal dialogue in a relaxed atmosphere were a must for WAS with numerous representatives from politics and business.
WAS would like to thank you for a wonderful event in the Ministerial Gardens of Berlin, for many exciting conversations in a cheerful atmosphere and an all-round successful summer party organised by the Schleswig-Holstein State Representation.
