Shaping the future together
Review of the Real Estate Arena 2025 in Hanover
On 14 and 15 May 2025, the Real Estate Arena took place in Hanover - one of the leading platforms for the real estate industry in Germany. WAS was represented at the joint stand together with partners from the Hansebelt region and took the opportunity to showcase the region's economic strengths and promote professional dialogue.
A special highlight was the panel on 15 May on the topic of "Happily successful in the Hansebelt: Sustainable project development & growth opportunities", in which our Managing Director Ulf Hahn participated as a speaker. Together with Thomas Waldner, Stig Rømer Winther, Pia Steinrücke, Hans-Joachim Grote and Fabio Kirchgeßner, he discussed the potential of the Hansebelt region as one of the most dynamic economic regions in Europe.
A central topic of the discussion was German-Danish cooperation, which makes the Hansebelt a unique economic area. Ulf Hahn emphasised the importance of the Hansebelt e. V., which has set itself the goal of strategically positioning the region, strengthening it and making it visible beyond the region. The Fehmarnbelt link was categorised as a strategic infrastructure project with an enormous economic leverage effect - crucial for ensuring that the Hansebelt is not reduced to the role of a transit corridor, but instead profiles itself as an innovative economic region.
At the end of the panel, the question was asked: "What does happiness and success mean in the Hansebelt?" All participants agreed that economic success and personal quality of life in the Hansebelt are closely linked - with space for family, leisure and individual fulfilment.
With over 406 exhibitors and around 7,500 visitors, the Real Estate Arena 2025 once again provided an impressive platform for dialogue between business, politics, science and society. The event showed how important cooperation and networking are in actively shaping sustainable future prospects for regions such as the Hansebelt.
We would like to thank everyone for the great interest in our work, the many inspiring discussions and the lively atmosphere at our stand - and we look forward to continuing to work with our partners in the region.
