IT'S STORMARN - Developing AI potential together in a network

Artificial intelligence (AI) has long been more than just a topic for the future - it is already a decisive factor for the success of companies today. At IT'S STORMARN, we are working hard to utilise the potential of AI in our region and develop innovative solutions together. Through joint events with experts on forward-looking topics as key note speakers, workshops and working groups made up of employees from partner companies, we promote dialogue, support the implementation of AI and create a network in which ideas become reality.

AI in practice: a look back at our 2nd knowledge meeting

On 4 July 2024, the 2nd knowledge meeting of our Think & Do Tank took place at Basler AG in Ahrensburg. Under the motto "AI in practice - optimising workflows", experts and companies came together to share their experiences and successes with artificial intelligence.

After an inspiring keynote speech by Dr Uve Samuels from the Exponential Innovation Institute Hamburg, which gave us a systematic introduction to the use of AI, our partner companies presented impressive use cases:

• Stern-Wywiol Group: by using AI, they were able to better predict market trends in the growing US market and optimise their sales strategies, which led to successful expansion.
• HEROSE GmbH: A company-wide "Code your own AI" workshop promoted the understanding and acceptance of AI, increased efficiency and enabled creative solutions in day-to-day work.
• Sterac Transport & Logistik GmbH: The implementation of AI-driven chatbots revolutionised customer communication and significantly shortened response times, resulting in significantly improved customer satisfaction.
• Topmotive Group: Machine learning and data analysis optimised the development of new products and increased efficiency in production.
• Basler AG: An AI-based chatbot relieves the service desk by 40% by automating routine tasks and improving service quality.

These best-practice examples impressively demonstrate how AI is already being used in companies in our region today to optimise processes, drive innovation and make Stormarn fit for the future.
