Innovationskontore - 2nd Lunch Pitch Science meets Business
Digital & sustainable transformation - how can SMEs benefit?
On 20 November 2024, we gained exciting insights into the topics of digital and sustainable transformation for SMEs at our 2nd Lunch Pitch, which this time took place in Reinbek at E. Michaelis & Co.
The WAS Innovation Centre and the Hanse Innovation Campus Lübeck (HIC) hosted the event to present current trends from research in a practical way. In a combination of inspiring presentations, valuable networking opportunities and a joint lunch, participants were able to learn about innovative approaches that help to make processes more efficient, optimise data protection and avoid production downtime with the help of data-driven solutions.
Our highlights:
- Simplifying processes and checking sustainability: Nurije Krasniqi B.Sc. from TH Lübeck spoke about efficient processes, which are a key success factor for companies. She showed how process modelling not only helps to structure operational processes, but also to optimise them. The tools presented to analyse and strategically improve the status quo were particularly exciting.
- Data privacy: Prof Dr Esfandiar Mohammadi from the University of Lübeck gave a presentation on the highly topical subject of data privacy. He explained why customer data is an invaluable asset for companies - but also entails a special responsibility. Using practical examples, he showed how SMEs can use data-based applications securely and what modern solutions are available for protecting sensitive data.
- Predictive maintenance: Finally, Jessica Selina Ochs, M.Sc. from the TH Lübeck, gave an insight into the world of predictive maintenance. She explained how analysing machine data can help companies to avoid unplanned production downtime and reduce costs. Her practical examples from industry impressively demonstrated how modern data analysis can revolutionise processes - a clear competitive advantage!
By creating the Innovation Office in Stormarn, our aim is to support and promote companies in the district and the Hansebelt through the research expertise on the Lübeck campus.
