New Year's reception 2024 of the IHK zu Lübeck
17.01.2024: A great start to the new year at the IHK zu Lübeck's New Year's reception at the MuK.
In their welcoming speech, Hagen Goldbeck, President of the Lübeck Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and Lars Schöning, Managing Director of the Lübeck Chamber of Industry and Commerce, emphasised the importance of reducing bureaucracy in administration - things need to be simpler and quicker to implement, which also requires more trust from politicians in the economy.
Minister President Daniel Günther repeatedly emphasised the opportunities of the Hansebelt region - the largest construction project in Northern Europe is taking place in Schleswig-Holstein. "A railway line from Scandinavia to Italy - Schleswig-Holstein as the hub of the world" joked the MP.
Prof. Dr Stefan Kooths, Director of the Research Centre for Business Cycles and Growth at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW), gave a very interesting and optimistic outlook for 2024 and made a clear statement - the most important location factor is the education of our young people!
Afterwards, we networked over traditional Labskaus and street food.
Many thanks to the IHK event team and the service staff on site - it was another all-round successful event!
