Barbecue for the final acceptance of the civil engineering works Ahrensburg
Successful final acceptance of the civil engineering work in the "Ahrensburg Beimoor Süd - 2nd construction phase" industrial estate
On 25 June, we celebrated the successful final acceptance of the civil engineering work in the Ahrensburg Beimoor-Süd industrial estate with a barbecue in glorious sunshine. In attendance were the managing directors of the companies located on the site as well as Mayor Eckart Boege, who signed the final acceptance together with our Managing Director Ulf Hahn. Numerous service providers and employees of the administration, who accompanied us during the development, were also present. There was an opportunity for stimulating discussions in a relaxed atmosphere.
Looking back:
On 18 May 2017, the ground-breaking ceremony marked the start of the development of the expanded Beimoor Süd industrial estate. After around one and a half years of intensive construction work, the first building construction work began in 2019 and 2020. The decision to commission WAS as the developer and marketer quickly proved to be the right one.
Development and marketing:
- 21.5 hectares of net commercial building land were developed.
- Of this, 13 hectares have now been sold, which has boosted the economic growth of Ahrensburg and the Stormarn district.
- As of mid-2024, 36 companies have settled here.
- Since marketing began, 30 plots have been sold; a further 14 plots with a total area of 8.5 hectares are still available, a third of which have already been reserved.
- Over 900 jobs have been secured, of which around 400 are new in Ahrensburg. Many companies have since taken on additional staff.
- The companies invested almost 90 million euros in buildings and land at the Beimoor Süd site. In addition, 15 to 20 million euros were invested in machinery, equipment and other fixed assets.
Infrastructure:
As part of development plan 88 b, 1,800 metres of road, a rainwater retention basin and a roundabout were built at the eastern entrance to the industrial estate. A near-natural landscape park with green aisles and hiking trails increases the quality of life for employees. To compensate for this, 13 hectares were converted into species-rich grassland and 1.2 kilometres of new hedgerows were created.
Sustainability and diversification:
The newly constructed office, commercial and production buildings are characterised by sophisticated design and high sustainability standards. Many buildings are equipped with photovoltaic systems. The products and services offered by the resident companies range from high-performance testing machines to sun protection systems, precision mechatronics, fire damage restoration, industrial technology, IT services and data centre capacities.
Managing Director Ulf Hahn emphasises: "The new Beimoor-Süd industrial estate is characterised by broad diversification. This is an excellent basis for expanding and maintaining Ahrensburg's economic strength."
We would like to thank the Ahrensburg city council, the political representatives, the engineering firm Höger und Partner, the construction company Depenbrock Bau GmbH and, of course, all the entrepreneurs for their investment in the site.
