17.04.2024: Visit to the new company headquarters in Barsbüttel
Last week, Moritz Wessendorf, Managing Director of E.W.A. Wessendorf GmbH, gave us a tour of the impressive construction site of his new company headquarters in the Barsbüttel industrial estate. The Hanseatic company, now in its 3rd generation of owner management, imports food from Asia and supplies catering and food wholesalers throughout Germany.
Behind the scenes: We immediately sensed the future innovative atmosphere of the new building. From a state-of-the-art deep-freeze and dry storage facility to well-structured office space and spacious social rooms - the well-designed new building is intended to create a positive working atmosphere and combine quality and expertise in every step of the business.
Expansion and visions: The planned move to a new, larger building in 2025 will open up exciting new horizons for E.W.A. Wessendorf. The expansion will not only enable a more efficient organisation, but also the addition of more regional Asian foods to the range.
Innovation and sustainability: The new building will not only be modern, but also sustainable, with advanced technology such as photovoltaics and energy recovery. In addition, the expanded site will provide space for the training of skilled labour in the future, a clear commitment to promoting local talent.
