Focus on cybercrime

On 6 November 2024, an inspiring business breakfast was held in Ahrensburg on the topic of "Cybercrime - the invisible threat from the net". The event was organised by us in cooperation with the Lübeck Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Ahrensburg Economic Development Agency and offered participants exciting insights into a highly topical subject.

Informative presentations by experts

Participants received valuable recommendations on preventative measures and a better understanding of the current threat situation. The high-calibre speakers made the event informative and practical:

  • Christian Peters (IHK zu Lübeck) gave an impressive insight into the potential risks posed by cyber attacks with the case "We were hacked!".
  • Jannick Fischer (LKA Kiel) emphasised the growing importance of cybercrime and described cybercrime as the "most successful business model in white-collar crime".
  • Johanna Kosubek (TÜV-certified cyber consultant) made it clear in her presentation "Courage to breach? - Better not here!" made it clear why preventive measures are essential.

Exchange and networking

Mayor Eckart Boege opened the event with a motivating welcome address, followed by a welcome from Dr Christian Kleikamp, CEO of the WiBU Group. During the breakfast break, the participants took the opportunity to exchange ideas and make valuable contacts.

A special highlight was the final tour of the WiBU Group, including an impressive tour of the warehouse, which offered exciting insights into the working world of the company.

Findings and recommendations for action

The overwhelming response to the company breakfast emphasised the urgency of the topic. We took away three key findings from the event:

  • Employee training and education: regular training minimises the risk of human error.
  • Technical security measures: Good equipment, regular updates and high security standards are essential.
  • Acting quickly in an emergency: In the event of an attack, the relevant authorities should be contacted immediately.

Mastering digital risks together

The event has shown that digital risks can be better managed by working together and sharing knowledge. We look forward to further strengthening our knowledge and shaping a more secure future together.

Thanks to the partners

A big thank you to the Ahrensburg Economic Development Agency, the Lübeck Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the WiBU Group for their great cooperation and hospitality. We are already looking forward to future events!
