Intelligent solutions - AI for SMEs

The annual WirtschaftsForum took place in Bad Oldesloe on 20 November 2024. Entrepreneurs, investors and interested parties from the region came together to find out about current economic developments, make new contacts and gather inspiring ideas for their projects.

The event began with a welcoming speech by business development officer Gada von Bohr, followed by an overview of the region's prospects and developments by Mayor Jörg Lembke.

Highlights of the evening

- From challenges to successes:

Dr Nils Lockmann from the AI Transfer Hub Schleswig-Holstein gave an inspiring presentation on the optimisation of processes using artificial intelligence. Artur Piet from the Expand Ai agency used concrete examples to show how AI improves product monitoring and creates sales forecasts based on over 150 parameters.

We were particularly pleased with the contribution from TOPMOTIVE from Bargteheide, a partner company of our IT'S STORMARN network. Anna-Maria Blenkers presented her company's AI-supported project: a vehicle licence scanner that uses AI to detect potential vehicle damage more quickly and accurately.

- Innovative business park development:

Sahra Köhler and Andreas Marx, our experts for development and relocation, provided exclusive insights into ongoing projects under the title "Developing new business parks in Bad Oldesloe". Using vivid visualisations and current figures, they explained the planned expansion of the Rögen industrial estate (B-Plan 122) and innovative measures to strengthen the location.

Afterwards, the Business Forum provided space for lively discussions and networking. The evening once again emphasised the importance of close cooperation between the city, companies and business development agencies in order to sustainably strengthen Bad Oldesloe as a business location.
