Investing successfully in the future together
At EXPO REAL 2024 in Munich, WAS successfully presented itself at the largest B2B trade fair for property and investment in Europe. As part of the Schleswig-Holstein stand, we presented our commitment to the economic development of our district and the Hanseatic region and initiated exciting new partnerships.
Our goals:
- Strengthening Stormarn as a business location: we were able to emphasise the advantages of our region and establish important contacts for future projects.
- Innovation and sustainability: The exchange with leading industry representatives gave us valuable impetus for sustainable concepts that we want to utilise for Stormarn.
Highlights of our trade fair presence:
- One highlight was the presentation "Hansebelt - We have everything for happiness!" (photo right), in which our Managing Director Ulf Hahn, together with Michaela Bierschwall, Managing Director of WFL Herzogtum Lauenburg and Stig Rømer Winther, Managing Director Femarnbelt Development, provided exciting insights into the potential of the Hansebelt region as an attractive business location and a region worth living in for skilled workers - from excellent infrastructure to a strong business network.
- Signing of the agreement for the Economic Development Council: A milestone was the signing of the agreement, which further strengthens cooperation in the Hamburg metropolitan region and advances key topics such as securing skilled labour and attracting companies.
- Trends and new impetus for Stormarn: The discussions on topics such as digitalisation and sustainable construction provided us with valuable insights for the further development of Stormarn as a business location. During a joint exchange at the Schleswig-Holstein stand, State Secretary Julia Carstens and Hamburg's Finance Senator Dr Andreas Dressel emphasised the importance of close cooperation in the north in order to further develop our region as a leading green industrial location.
Outlook:
EXPO REAL has shown us how important supra-regional networking and shared visions are. With the knowledge gained, we look forward to realising new projects for the successful and sustainable development of Stormarn.
