Company visit to D+H Mechatronic AG
Our Managing Director Ulf Hahn had the opportunity to visit D+H Mechatronic AG in Ammersbek - a true North German flagship for technological excellence.
What began over 50 years ago in a garage in Hamburg-Rahlstedt has developed into a global market leader for smoke and heat extraction systems. With innovative system solutions that combine smoke extraction and natural ventilation, D+H not only contributes to greater safety, but also to sustainable and energy-efficient buildings.
As early as 1972, D+H revolutionised the industry with the first motorised smoke extraction system - a technology that today saves lives worldwide. From the CO2-neutral Boston University Centre to customised solutions for buildings in over 50 countries, D+H demonstrates how technological innovation and global responsibility go hand in hand.
The clear vision for the future is particularly impressive: innovation, internationalisation and shaping global megatrends such as decarbonisation and climate protection.
An inspiring exchange took place with Dirk Dingfelder, CEO and member of the founding family, and CFO Mirko Matenia. They provided exciting insights into D+H's corporate culture, which is based on the highest quality, passion and a strong regional commitment.
With 250 employees at the Ammersbek site and a further 280 worldwide, D+H shows that a hidden champion from Stormarn can combine technological excellence with international foresight and regional ties.
